Early Harvest!

With the amazing strawberry prices. I decided it would be a good idea to stock up on jam and frozen strawberries. Oh, and I guess a little treat to go along with it(strawberry pie) yummy. I called my mother-in-law, and tolled her what my plans were and she wanted in. She came up today and we made a fun day out of it. We did simple freezer jam, both regular and low sugar. We go through frozen strawberries like candy so i did 2&1/2 gallon Ziploc bags full. I'm sure my mom's jaw is on the flooring while reading this post. When I was younger, you couldn't get me near a stove or cookbook. Her phrase was always "what are you going to do when you get married". I could barely make toast without burning it. I have enjoyed learning, experimenting, and growing. My phrase to all is "if I can do it, any one can".
Kam totally enjoyed being one of the big girls. We absolutely love having the grandparents over. Thanks for coming grandma. We love you.

Catch up part 2!

First time HOME OWNER!
Finally! Our own home. It has 4 beds 3baths with an unfinished basement. Of which we have started collecting materials for. We have been in for a month now. We miss our previous neighbors and ward very much, but are starting to enjoy our new ones! Sorry it has taken this long to post pics. Between painting, unpacking, cleaning, chartering kids every where, there's not much leisure time. I wanted to do a slide show, but i haven't figured out how to work my photo bucket. Hope you enjoy the tour.

We are loving the area. Mostly because of what's just off of our front yard. Yes the park is just off of our front yard. The views from every window are amazing.

Front room dining area. The brown wall was once a green done in a sponge texture. The next pic is of the back of a shelf I redid. It is a perfect likeness of the wall before the brown. Of course it had to go fast! My walls are bare, I'm trying new things and it will take time. Some of you amazingly crafty friends of mine, I could use your help!
I'm loving my kitchen. We have plenty of cupboard and counter space. The basement entrance is to the left just before you enter the kitchen.
Kambries room. After the lilac sponge job. We left the one wall a solid lilac. It is super cute. The sponge painting just isn't my thing, or maybe they just did it wrong.
YES! Braedon's room. Not yet done. We are patiently waiting for the white vinyl "Y". Again this is after their pink sponge paint job. Thank you to my friends Ashleigh and Sybil for their help in painting, sure love you two.
My pride and joy! Alan made this table for me for Christmas the second year we were married. It has sat in storage since 2002. He also made a leaf, of which we can use and still have plenty of room in the dining area.
This concludes the tour. If you would like to see more, please feel free to stop by and chat.

Time to catch up!

Happy Birthday to my Honey April 2nd! What a sweet, patient man. Love you with all my heart. Both my mom and I agree that I really lucked out. We had his whole family over on Fri. the 2nd. Being in a bigger home really helps with crowd control.
The kids were going to eat out on the deck, but as you know we were under a couple of inches of snow from weds.-sunday. Happy Easter to you as well mother nature!
The Sharp grand kids minus 20 year old Ashley. But have no fear standing in for her is Hayden a Dutson grandchild but has been welcomed into the Sharp family. He calls Alan's mom grandma Julia.
Alan's moms fun idea to make a cake for each b-day starting mid march through mid april. She made them all. Each yummy!
Yes we lit all the cakes at the same time. Set the smoke alarms off and all. For a minute there I thought we were going to burn down our new home.

Playing with the big guys!

Go Cougs! On Sat. BYU had their annual spring practice and all that want to come take a sneak peak at the new team can join in the excitement. Alan and Braedon of course can't miss it. Would you say True Fan or Obsessed?
Here's our future BYU receiver going for a long pass...
TOUCH DOWN!!!!
Wow! Tough Crowd. She was a little tired at first. Soon after, we went to the movie "How to train a dragon" what a cute movie we all loved it. Then it was pizza at the park. What an awesome day. A perfect ending to this spring break.
