Christmas and Birthdays!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We did! We partied for 4 days. Highlight of the the holiday of course being the birth of our Savior. Of which our little gleaming star is showing! Grandma Berta's Christmas Eve party was as fun as always. Thanks mom! Right now every Christmas is in Delta. It will be a shocker to Alan when the "Christmas at our house" announcement is made. I will give him a few years to get him used to the idea of course.

I love this picture of Kam she looks like she's singing with the choir over the little bag of chips. Who knew?

Braedon hit the jackpot with all his Star Wars legos, and games. Of which his friends love just as much. Our kids have sooo much stuff so we tried not to over do it this year, and they both said what a great Christmas it was.

Happy Birthday Grandma Sharp!!!
It was Grandma Sharps Bday yesterday and she came up and celebrated with us. We love having Grandparents around. We went out and did some big shopping, then had a yummy dinner.

After which she and golden child did some Wii bowling!

Of course what's a birthday with out cake. It was sooo yummy. Thank's Grandma for coming all the way up here to celebrate with us. Even in yucky weather. Love you!

Christmas Events!

Christmas is just about here and this is the only minute I have to update my blog. We have been out if town almost every weekend, and shopping the days that we aren't.
So far it has been fun. We have gone to see lights a couple of nights. Although, it's looking like we won't make to temple square this year. We are still having fun with the small displays. The most recent is Salem pond. On Sunday we had dinner with my neighbor Sybil, her daughter Ashleigh and little family. A good time is had by all when we get together. Talk about amazing food. After, we built graham cracker houses. We had so much fun. The next day we went to Salem pond together. Now we wait for the big day. Marry Christmas to all of you!!!

Kids being kids!

I just love it when my kids get there phrases mixed up!

Kambrie: Passing a dairy farm on the way home."Braedon stinked up the car"!

My little cousin: Asking Braedon."Were you adopted"?
Braedon: "No I was born"
Cousin:"I was born too"

Kambrie: "Mommy, my finger has a headache"

Braedon: Watching a family at a restaurant, very confused. "Mom, how come that little baby is more brown than the rest of them." As if he has never been around a family filled with different nationalities!

Braedon: "Do all brown people speak Spanish"

I know there have been many more, but do you think I'm smart enough to write them down?

Separate Entertainment!

We are so not the normal family! Other families stay together for saturday activities, not us. When football season starts, Saturdays are a free for all. Last game, there was an extra ticket, so he took Kam along as well as Braedon. Good thing my family was getting together in Plain City for my little sis's B-Day. We had a blast. I got to see my youngest sisters beautiful home, that her husband built. We're happy Alan got an early start on BYU brain washing. The kids love to go to the games. Sorry for my orphan looking little girl. I did her hair before I left, which was 5 hrs before the game. Need I say more.

My baby girl in Preschool!

First day of preschool
I found out how much I underestimate the knowledge capacity of my 4 year old. Today, as I was walking her to Steff's house she noticed all the flags waving and asked if it was the 4th of July. I smiled at her, and went on to tell her in the most simple way the trade tower story. I asked her if she understood she said yes and that it was sad. Thinking that she wouldn't remember a word I had just said I left it at that. Later that night Steff and I were talking and she told me she was very surprised at how informed Kambrie was, I was a little confused. Then she told me of how when she answered the door when I dropped Kambrie off she had noticed the flags and couldn't figure out what day it was. She was trying to figure it out, when Kambrie very proudly recited the story I had just told her, twice. I am so proud of her. I also found out the the school said nothing about today to the students. I took the opportunity to explain to Braedon the same thing. I'm Afraid and sad, the teaching of History in school will soon come to an end. I have come up with a solution. Alan's Dad is a huge history buff. What better way for my kids to learn than from Grandpa! Sorry for the long Blog. I thought I would pass the word, to never underestimate the understanding of your child.

Alan's idea of quality time!!!

New School Year!

He was excited and nervous for his first day of 2nd grade. I can't believe he's this old. He came home so excited about his teacher. What a cute kid!

BYU Football Kick Off!!!

BYU Football season has arrived, and not a moment to soon for my boys!
Braedon took this picture!
Jan Jorgensen(top) Dennis Pitta(bottom). I forget how nice the players are. Once again we missed Max Hall and Harvey Unga. Oh well, there's always next year.
Kambrie loved all the attention she got. Braedon, loves long lines as much as his mom!
Kambrie could have sat and watched the cheerleaders the whole time we were there. She finally got up enough courage to get her picture taken. The dancers and cheerleaders were all very nice.

Birthday Retreat!!!

Happy late b-day to me! On the morning of my b-day I filled trenches, then traveled 4-5 hours to Idaho Fall! Two days later Alan's brother Cliff took his and our family to Warm River for some four wheeling and water fun! It made the trench filling and traveling worth it. We had a blast. The drive to and from the mountains was breath taking. Thank you Cliff and Sarah for all the fun and letting us crash at your house.
Snail harvesting and bird bathing, for Braedon and Kambrie! We came prepared for deep water fun, and the river is only about 4 feet deep. We are in the shallow part. It was pretty funny. Next time we are river rafting. Got that Cliff?
I had a blast driving one as well. Thanks to Cliff's boss for letting us use his toys!
Dad, we're ready and waiting!
Our fearless little girl! What are we going to do with her.

Summer with friends!

Quik laugh for all! So the other morning, as I was getting ready to go running, I hear this watch timer going off. Just as i opened my door, I see Braedon walking back to his room very sleepy, looks at me and says "The watch wouldn't stop beeping." As I was walking out the front door, I
noticed it was unlocked, and thought it strange because Alan always locks it when he leaves for work. Locking it behind me when I left, didn't think about it again... Now, as I am doing my cool down stretching outside, I look up, and lowe and behold lying just outside the door is Braedons watch. I had to smile, even laugh a little. So now you know what to do with the alarm that won't shut off!

Summer Fun!
July 22, 09
For a while now my friend Steff has wanted to take us to the Spanish Fork Res. Yesterday
was such a perfect day for swimming. We had so much fun.
Braedon and his new friend Riley, Steff's nephew. I missed a picture of the two trying to catch a fish with their hands. It was so funny.
Steff's niece Mikala and Kambrie. All the kids loved going out on the raft with her.
Kambrie swam for about 20 mins. then just wanted to play in the sand. Best thing about this sand, it wasn't as fine as others, so it came off feet and other stuff much easier. Great for clean car freaks like me!
Steff and her kids, Kalia and Teo. They are so dang cute.
Don't pay much attention to the date on the pictures. I need to reset it!

Family Night!

We decided it would be fun to take the kids to the canyon and roast hot dogs. Great idea! The kids only stopped running for food. It is so awesome that we can just go 15 or 20 mins up the canyon and feel like we are completely away from the world.
Hungry?

I hope our kids know how much we love them!

He makes marriage easy. He is so patient and caring.
